The GVWSG is sponsoring a series of three-day weaving classes.
The class will be offered next on September 8,15,&22 and November 10,17,&24. Registration for the September workshop will open in July. The cost will be $150.
You will learn to weave using a rigid heddle loom. We will discuss everything from choosing your yarn, planning a project and setting up a loom to weaving the fabric itself. Learn tips and tricks for successful weaving and how to troubleshoot.
Bring your own rigid-heddle or knitter’s loom, or rent one from the Guild ($10/month for Guild members, $20/month for non-members.) Materials will be provided for a sampler.
Instructor: Rosie Kerschbaumer. Rosie has been teaching weaving for seven years, both multi-shaft and rigid-heddle. She is an active member of the weaving community in the Lower Mainland. You can reach her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
